Whale season is underway!

The Humpbacks are here!

As they exhale (from their VW bug- sized lungs), the whales vaporize the water that pools on the top of their blowhole, sending it up as much as 15 feet in the air at a rate of 300 mph.

Propeller scars are never a good thing to see. . . .
When the whales expose the underside of their tail fin, called a Fluke-Up Dive, they are usually going down for a deeper dive, with bottom times averaging 15-20 minutes. The underside of the fluke is like a fingerprint, and is a unique way to identify each whale.
